Allow 5-10 minutes then look for the verification e-mail from Addis Underground in your inbox.
If the e-mail is not in your 'Inbox', look for it in your 'Bulk' or 'Spam' folder as well.
You'll find further instructions in the message sent. Do not forget to change your password as soon as possible, to a phrase you can easily memorize.

Participation at Addis Underground constitutes agreement to these guidelines below. These guidelines apply to any interaction with AU, including but not limited to posts, pictures, links, profiles, signatures, avatars or private messages, which we have the ability to examine any time when infringement is suspected. 

Partaking at AU is mostly live. Therefore it is virtually impossible for AU to continuously monitor and resolve issues related to inaccurate, inappropriate or copyrighted content. If you believe you have spotted content that requires attention or has violated our guidelines, please report it to Addis Underground administrator with a link to the content and a concise description of what you believe is wrong. Notifications of this kind are handled confidential and anonymous. Reporting is voluntary, and in no case shall a member act in response to a situation personally.

Freedom of speech rights do not extend to privately owned websites, such as Addis Underground. These guidelines detail the types of behavior and activities that are allowed here. Any content that violates the guidelines below will be removed and members with repeated offense against these guidelines will be banned without notice. 

Advertisements are not allowed. AU is not a free advertisement space, and any content submitted specifically for the promotion of commercial, personal, or non profit service, website or product is prohibited. Any member found to be posting links to their websites or suspected of devising concealed methods for advertisement purposes violates this guideline. You may only post a direct link to your site or any other site that you are in some way affiliated with if the link specifically deals with the subject at hand. Do not offer services for any kind of compensation on this website.

At the moment AU is running with no advertisements for the convenience of its members, but AU reserves the right to authorize or sell advertisements on it pages. Do not block advertisements that we authorize to display on our site. AU takes Addis Ababa's network flaw into consideration while designing and displaying advertisements on its pages. Viewing a site that has ads, but preventing the ads from being served is akin to theft and shows a lack of respect for the time and effort that is put into that site. 

While participating please keep in mind that Addis Underground is a family website. AU tries to maintain whenever feasible a friendly atmosphere for all its members. Any content deemed inappropriate or vulgar will be deleted. Any attempt to circumvent censoring methods violates AU guidelines. If you feel your content is censored erroneously or displayed in unexpected manner contact Addis Underground administrator or moderators. When linking to third party websites, you must ensure that the content of the link is appropriate for AU community, and in agreement with the guidelines laid out here. If you post a link and that link is automatically censored or removed, it is considered to be an inappropriate. 

AU is an English language website, thus all posts in any other language other than English will be deleted as they can not be moderated. Amharic music may be uploaded but may be moderated for quality and content.

Never reveal yours or others personal, real life identifiable information such as house and telephone numbers, email address, etc...
 
Do not post any content which promote illegal transactions, pyramid schemes, warez, hacks, cracks, etc... Do not post information that you have obtained illegally. 

Political and religious contents are prohibited. If a topic is believed to change in due time towards a political or religious argument, the post will be removed.

Any content which is considered provocative, vulgar, racist, abusive, demeaning, sexist, detrimental, obscene or violent or any post or remark which popularize drugs, gambling, pornography, pedophilia, homosexuality, eroticism, anorexia, Nazism, terrorism, hate propaganda, occultism, sects, blasphemy, etc... will be reported to authorities. 

Do not post copyrighted materials you do not have permission to reproduce. Posting entire article, even with the source information, constitutes copyright infringement. You may want to post certain parts of the article with a link to the source.

Do not cross post. Post a specific topic only once and in the appropriate category. 

Do not post an affiliate URL that leads to you earning any kind of compensation. Do not link contents from servers on which you do not have permissions to link to. 

Do not disclose contents of your private messages publicly. If you believe you have been harassed or victimized report directly to AU administrator and provide as much detail as possible. All messages sent to AU administrator are always treated as confidential unless otherwise stated by the sender.

Refrain from inflammatory and defamatory remarks. Do not judge or simply put down the opinions of others. Do not post unsought comments about typos, duplicate posts, posting styles, comprehension, etc... Remember this is a friendly community and no one outranks anyone else here. 

You can ask for support just about anything concerning Addis Underground on the support forum by providing as much detail as possible. If this doesn't seem convenient you can always e-mail AU.

Signatures are limited to 5 lines of text and blank lines and small images. The size fonts, bb codes and colors must be comfortable to read. 

Each user is allowed to have only one user name. If you would like to change your user name contact AU. 

All content is granted to Addis Underground with perpetual electronic publishing rights. 

If you would like to report a problem do so directly to AU and moderators and not publicly on the website. Do not discuss about removed or locked posts or banned members. If you feel that your post has been removed or locked by mistake contact AU. 

Remember these guidelines are put down for your benefit and security. The guidelines are not in anyway to restrict you from freely participating in AU community. AU and its moderators try to rectify every case considered as a violation with open mind. If you feel this or any part of this website is uninviting, drop a comment.
