Oscar has never been fair fully and this year is no exception. At least the standard they use has always been respectable.

I haven't watched it also, boring movies always get to win something as much as I can remember so far

I am watching the show now and I am impressed by most of the nominated movies and some of the stage performances like Ben stiller with the Avatar costume. I don't think we should care that much about which movie got the prize as we are only viewers. We all know that Politics plays a huge role in Hollywood but every time I see the Oscars I appreciate how hard the directors, producers, film editors, graphic artists, sound engineers and actors/actresses work to create sth to the level of perfection. Even short movie makers are/have been doing awesome stuff with the limited budget they have.

I haven't watched the Oscars nor do i plan to. I've stopped watching all awards shows all together after sometime cause i find them irrelevant. There's no point in watching celebrities praise one another and make a huge deal of their easy jobs every year like they're saving the world. As if they're not overly rewarded with their spoiled lives already
