good question for the rest

good question for the rest AUers but am always here.

I am always here too. Here

I am always here too. Here are my guessed top 6 reasons for other members

6. I am unable to access AU normally. I am using a proxy. There may be other members with the same problem
5. Members are busy - especially at this time of the year
4. Member participation has been observed to be higher on inflammatory threads. There is a shortage of inflammatory threads.
3. There is no single theme that all AU members can talk about
2. There is a lack of original content at AU. Most of the content can be found elsewhere in greater quantity.
1. People spend more time these days on Facebook

I think

Point 3 is not true. There

Point 3 is not true. There are a lot of things we can all talk about. It is just that people are too lazy (or is it busy hehe) to start topics or even respond to already created ones. The other points are true though. There are a lot of threads that I started creating and didn't get to post cause the inactivity of members (even popular ones) annoys me. Why should I post sth knowing that I will be the one replying below? AU has everything and in my opinion is better than sites like facebook but it still needs more active members like you and I Toms.
p.s-U forgot the power shortage in there Toms. It is making me mad/sad. Sad

I'm here too but i'm

I'm here too but i'm honestly too busy since i started the program. The lesson plan is too intensive that we practically do all the work on our own. I come here to quickly browse through new posting but i hardly get enough time to reply sorry about that. But AU is my home it's hard to stay away even if i wanted to. Btw i set up a very neat power point presentation and presented about our country in class and i really think i managed to change their ignorant views and know her for all the special qualities and truly amazing history and culture that we have. Like the fact that we are the dawn of civilization and beginning of all humanity, our sovereignty etc... Which pissed off some people i'm sure.

Hi ....dinabdi here...i

Hi ....dinabdi here...i hated the inflammatory threads n i felt AU was filled with so much drama [n boy i've had enough of that in an all-girls' skool]....i don't think anybody can answer the question at the top of this page "are u home yet?" with a "yes! yes! yes!" [unless u live in a shack somewhere in Brooklyn, then..yeah i guess this is relatively cozy]...but i rly missed it n Facebook is not half as great as AU USED TO BE... Sad ...more so i missed all the witty ppl that make AU an exciting place...

Dina In the dramas that U

Dina In the dramas that U mentioned, I was an active participant (if not the most) and I am not proud of it at all. I hate negative vibes but in both cases they helped me to learn about people (including my self) so I can't fully hate the experience. Smiling I think AU ain't half as good as it was before cause members like U and Tsedy who used to be so active are not participating much. Be the change U want like wise Ghandi once said so sometimes we should try a tad harder to make things better. Tsedy U are right. We need chat sessions. I really miss members who are not very active on the forums but who are awesome in the chat rooms. Ya know who U are. Pikuness it has been a while since u been here. I am glad to see ya and I am very glad that U are changing their perspective about our country. U go girl Smiling
p.s- Where is our old friend Unsung Hero? He still haven't registered. Members who know him pls contact him.

Don't you need electricity to be online besides other things. The constant blackouts... frankly I think I am regressing socially and individually.

If I were any better, I’d be twins.

I understand your condition, fikir. A lot of people around me are affected by the power outages.
My Solutions:
0. Stay in the office as long as possible (till the superintendent kicks you out)
1. Think of it as 15 days of rest per month!
2. It is not your fault that yesterday's work was not finished
3.Sleeping is a cure to many of society's (and individual's) problems

My father's and little brother's solution:
1. Charge your laptop the day before and watch a movie during the outage

My sister's solution
1. Power outages mean family time - something hard to get when there is power.

I am kinda feeling good that whiz started this thread. I never watch Dr. Phil, but I think this thread is like one of his shows. Am I right?

I don't have internet at work. When I get home there is no electricity most of the time, and I can't use a computer at night because it might keep me up the whole night.
